| Girl of the Year 2010, Lanie, finally has a cover! Doll Diaries has released it, due to some excellent sleuthing. Those wanting an African American or biracial doll will be disappointed, as Lanie apparently has blond hair and green or hazel eyes (but you can't really tell).

| According to Denver Business Journal, American Girl is opening up another store in Colorado, near the Denver area! Good news for those who live there, sad for me who does not. However, this is the first store since the economy had troubles in 2008, so maybe this means they will be building more?
The new place will be located in the Lone Tree mall, and it is uncertain whether or not this is a full fledged store or a bistro.

| First off, Girl of the Year 2010 is Lanie, and she is going to be an adventure girl. If her photo is revealed early, I will definitely post it here!
In speculation, there are also two possible historical girls whose books are scheduled for a 2010 publication date: Sarah and Denise. There are rumors that one of them will take Kirsten's place.

| Life of Faith is closing it's doors, and will be officially out of business by the end of October. They stopped selling online September 30. They had also just changed the Meet Outfits (aka Presentation Outfits) of Elsie, Violet, and Millie. Laylie was a whopping $30 online before it disappeared. Apparently the economy has taken its tool, and sadly this doll line could not afford to stay open.
I also have other backlogged updates, which I am sorry to not have gotten done. I will try to be more diligent in posting updates here, when they happen.

| Joining Samantha in the archives is Kirsten Larson, one of the original three American Girl dolls. I think we can expect this to be an annual thing. They have not announced it on their official website yet, but letters have started to go out to individual folks.
